If you are a true cricket fan I hope you will be knowing that the first match played in cricket was a test match. Let's have a deeper look at this topic.

Cricket began in the late 16th century. Cricket originated in South-East England. It became England's national sport in the 18th century. It developed globally in the 19th and 20th century. International matches have been played since 1844 and test cricket began, retrospectively recognized in 1877. The first ever international cricket game was between the US and Canada in 1844. The match was played at the grounds of the St George's Cricket Club in New York.

We have three forms of cricket
1. Test cricket
2. ODI cricket
3. T 20 cricket
The first form of cricket is the test cricket which takes time of 4 -5 days. It's a very long time duration in this busy world.

Then comes the ODI cricket. It's full form is One Day Internationals. It is a fifty over cricket format.

The last is the T 20 cricket format. It has 20 overs in an inning.

Right now the most craziest form of cricket is the T 20 format. There are many reasons for T 20 cricket being the most liked format. To give example the T 20 format takes less time than any other format, the batsmen are aggressive and believe in back to back big hits.

There is an impact of T 20 and ODI format on Test cricket. The technical batsmen are vanishing. The interest of watching batsmen playing four to five hours continuously, respecting good balls and smashing bad ones out of the park, ducking unplayable bouncers, and much more. Now we can scarcely see all these interesting stuff.

Globally, T 20 cricket is the most popular format with 92% interest while ODIs are a close second with 88% interest. An average of 86% of the responders devote their time for Test cricket.

In T 20 format the batsmen think hitting every ball out of their sight. Batsmen don't follow the basics of cricket.

The ICC has taken steps like day - night cricket format to maintain the craze of test in cricket fans. The World is so busy that they do not get time to enjoy awesome stuff like the Test matches.
